Pelicans vs. Washington Wizards

The Pelicans take on the Washington Wizards in the Smoothie King Center.
We've worked closely with local & state officials to develop a comprehensive health and safety plan, which is outlined below. Please read this page in its entirety to ensure you're ready for game day.

Face Coverings
-
Face coverings will be mandatory for all fans and staff, and must be worn at all times (other than while actively eating or drinking). Failure to comply with this policy will result in ejection from the arena. Be a good teammate – because wearing a face covering not only helps to protect you, it helps protect other fans, our team and our staff.
PLEASE NOTE: Neck gaiters, bandanas, and masks with valves or vents are NOT PERMITTED.

Walk Through Metal Detectors

Walkthrough metal detectors will be deployed at all entrances to the Smoothie King Center for all Pelicans games. Fans are encouraged to remove all items from their pockets.

Prohibited Items

Bags cannot exceed 14" x 14" x 6" per bag. Other prohibited items include Animals (with the exception of service dogs), Backpacks/knapsacks, Banners (large or in poor taste), Bats, Beach balls, Bottles, Cans, Clubs, Containers, Drones, Whistles, Contraband, Fireworks, Glass, Glitter, Helium balloons, Large/oversized bags. (Maximum bag size is 14" width x 14" height x 6" depth), Laser pointers, Mace, Mascot headwear of any kind, Noisemakers, Outside food and drink, Poles, Projectiles, Selfie sticks, Stickers, Sticks, Strollers, Unauthorized marketing/soliciting/vending, Video and audio recording devices (includes GoPros, etc.), Weapons, and any other item(s) deemed unacceptable by Venue Management (ASM Global).

Hand Sanitizers

Touch free hand sanitizer locations will be placed throughout the arena near concession locations, entrances to restrooms, walkways into seating sections, restrooms and guest services locations.

Box Office
-
On Pelicans game days, the Smoothie King Center Box Office and New Orleans Pelicans Will Call will open 1.5 hours prior to tip off through the end of halftime. When visiting Will Call, be sure to have your photo ID and credit card in hand to expedite the process. No tickets will be sold at the Box Office on game day.

Pod Seating

Your ticketholder party will be seated together in a “pod” of adjacent seats. Your pod will be separated from other groups by a minimum of six (6) feet. Please do not sit in any seat other than the one you’ve been assigned in order to help us maintain pod integrity. Also, please remember to maintain social distancing and do not visit other guests in their seating pod.

Mobile Ticketing & Parking

The Pelicans have shifted to 100% mobile tickets. This will create a safer, contactless ticketing experience for our fans. It will also allow for increased flexibility and efficiency throughout the season as we adapt to updated conditions and guidelines. You will need to present your ticket(s) on a mobile phone in order to gain entry to the arena. Each ticket can be displayed on an individual phone or all tickets in your group may be presented on one mobile phone.
Parking passes can also be presented on a mobile phone in order to gain entry to your designated parking area. Your mobile tickets and/or parking passes can be downloaded to your phone, or transferred to your guests by logging into “Account Manager” via the Pelicans mobile app. If you need assistance with your tickets upon arrival at the arena, please visit the SKC Box Office. Cash, credit & debit is also accepted at the parking garages.

Concession Updates
-
The health and safety of our employees and fans is a priority for the New Orleans Pelicans and the Smoothie King Center. The below updates have been made to the concession areas in the Smoothie King Center:
- As per governmental guidelines alcohol sales at indoor sporting events is prohibited.
- Open concession stands will be determined by venue capacity.
- Every other Point-of-Sale device will be utilized to create social distancing for F&B queuing at open locations, and each device will cleaned frequently.
- Floor decals will be deployed assisting patrons with proper distancing, as well as additional signage surrounding the concession location.
- A customer facing barrier will be erected to minimized customer/patron interactions.
- Portable bars and food openings will be spaced out throughout the concourse areas and will have the same safety measures as the concession stands.

Club Lounges

Limited club lounges will be open this upcoming season, but with new social distancing regulations. Please follow all signs and arena staff guidelines when visiting these spaces:
- Premium Club areas that serve as a gathering area for premium guests will be activated in conjunction with health, social distancing, and capacity guidelines.
- Guests will still be required to wear a face covering or mask while in these spaces.
- There will a designated entry and exit door for all guests.
- Existing lounge furniture, tables, and chairs will be removed from the clubs.
- Restrooms will be updated and monitored with best practice cleaning and social distancing guidelines.
- Awareness and directional signage will be placed strategically at each respective.

Proximity To Players and Each Other

The first several rows of seats closest to the court will be closed off to support physical distancing between fans and players. We will also be blocking off seats to support physical distancing among fans. Please stick to your assigned seats.

Merchandise / Team Store

Opens one (1) hour prior to the game (door opening) and will only be open from the interior. Fans can also purchase merchandise online at The Pelicans Shop official online store www.pelicansteamstore.com
The Pelicans Team Store social distancing procedures are as follows:
- The number of fans who can enter will be determined by governmental capacity guidelines.
- Signs to remind fans to adhere to Social Distancing Guidelines will be displayed strategically throughout the store.
- Every other register in use with individual shields, sanitizer, masks, and floor stickers for social distancing Registers will have a socially spaced queue line with floor markers
- The payment process will be performed without the cashier handling the merchandise (customer displays barcode) and touchless payment.
- A bag and receipt will be offered to the fan. The fan will bag their merchandise to reduce cross-contamination.
- All merchandise returns will be facilitated by mail.
- Associates will not restock merchandise while fans are present.
- The entrance will have:
- Information and store policy signage
- A hand sanitation station

Smoke Free Facility

There are NO designated smoking locations for the 2020-2021 New Orleans Pelicans season in order to reduce unnecessary gatherings.

Camera Policy

No video cameras and no professional cameras with lenses longer than 6". All other cameras are allowed.
